PastCityFuture is a fictional 100-year retrospective of various city sites from the perspective of 2112. Taking the form of a walking tour - with audio, images and information accessed via a hand-held tablet device - each site will present a history along a series of time-points (eg: 2031, 2065, 2080 etc) in response to various projected future scenarios (such as scarcity of oil, climatic variations, shifting demographics, etc).
PastCityFuture is a collaboration with Melbourne University Research Fellow Ian Woodcock and Masters students from the School of Architecture & Design.
The next development phase will focus on creating a seamless presentation platform and experience for the participant.
Proposed completion : late 2012 - early 2013.
